Ahhh….To Rebrand or Not to Rebrand, that is the question! There is a lot of confusion and mystery that surround this mysterious word, “Brand”. What is Brand? In a word, it’s everything! When we are tasked with the daunting (for some) prospect of rebranding, where do we even start? First I have to state the obvious: branding is so much more then just the logo, in fact it is a common misconception that “Brand” and “logo” are interchangeable concepts, but I will cover this in much greater detail in another post. Companies have reported increased sales following their rebranding, think Woolworths, which announced it’s reranding back in April 2008 and now we have been witnessing branding history unfold, right before our eyes. Ok, what if you are not rebranding something behemoth like Woolworth, do the same rules apply? Well, yes, sort of, to get you thinking on the right track and give you a lift off point it helps to have a check list, think of it as your branding “to-do” list.
To help guide you through this very confusing labyrinth of Branding or Re-Branding I am offering you my Branding/Rebranding Implementation Check List for use in your branding strategy, absolutely free – no strings! It’s quite a comprehensive list of nitty-gritty stuff that might come in handy in a meeting or two when you are discussing your Brand Implementation Strategy and your marketing person (no offense to the marketing people!) just realises that the Telephone Greetings/Messages are in fact part of the Branding Strategy! I hope that this check list clears some things up and makes your life just a little bit easier, I just want to see and admire beautiful brands all around me, and that’s your job!
